Our Story
CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families. They provide clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help families cope with cancer and get the most out of life. They are there from diagnosis onwards and aim to help the whole family deal with the impact of cancer and its treatment, life after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement. Adopstar started raising money for CLIC Sargent in 2015 and have proudly chosen them as our Company Charity. So far, we have raised over £44,000 by shaving heads, skydiving, Easter Fiestas, Raffles, 24 hour Gameathons, Bike rides, Collections & organising the Grand Western Canal 10k & Festival annually. We have been very lucky to have visited CLIC House in Bristol, one of the Home from Homes and seen all the great work that Ann and her team do. They support the families in ways you wouldn’t even think of. Organising the 25th Grand Western Canal 10k Walk / Run & Family Festival was challenging at times but ultimately at the end, extremely rewarding raising a massive amount of money. We are proud to be the main sponsor for the 26th event in July 2019. Please join us in making this event a year to remember!
