Inspired by this year’s Sustainable Fashion Week theme ‘Threads of Resistance’, features various appliqué, patchwork and tassel embellishments through repurposing remnant materials from past collections ♻️

Come and join us for a different kind of clothes swap.

Does the change of the seasons make you want to change up your wardrobe? Or do you have a 👻Halloween costume you’ve worn just a few too many times and you want a fresh look for this year’s spooky season? What about your annual Christmas jumper🎄 - has the novelty worn off and you’re in need of a new crimbo knit? This year, instead of buying new, grab that bag of clothes you’ve been meaning to sell online and/or your novelty collections and head down to Hopscotch for a different type of clothes swap.

This autumn swap your clothes whilst mixing with a new group of people alongside cocktails and pints! Meet Emma (AKA Stitches and Seams) who is one of our talented local makers featured this year on our For Fashion’s Sake runway 🌟

Her collection, Unholey, celebrates vibrant vintage wool fabrics and detailed dress-making to produce a series of both wearable and fashionable pieces.

Emma is also hosting a sewing skills workshop on Saturday 17th October where you can learn essential hand-sewing skills to mend your own clothes🪡

We’ll also be celebrating the launch of The Routledge Companion to Fashion and Business, co-edited by Natascha and Babette Radclyffe-Thomas, where you can gain exclusive insight into cutting-edge research and industry knowledge on everything from fashion psychology and retail to sustainability and the future of fashion 🌍
