It can be easy to believe that you're not equipped to support someone living with mental ill health. But people can feel supported when you do the simplest of things. You don't have to be a trained therapist, or be apart of a charity. Assisting with everyday tasks, showing up can ease the pressure of daily life, can show people that they are valued and can make the day feel less heavy.
Showing up for others helps to reduce the stigma of their illness and helps them feel less alone.

Comment below if you can thing of any more simple forms of support.

May is International Mental Health Awareness month.

Just like physical health, every human has mental health too.

Many things impact our ability to be mentally healthy; we have to see and work on the whole picture to make life feel better. Every aspect of our lives contributes to our mental wellbeing. If we're struggling or live with mental ill health, it's important for those around us to see that the need is not just what's happening in our brains, but help should come from all around.

Let's talk about it and hope that people will hear us!
