Young London Today is a not-for-profit organisation, which is dedicated to supporting, developing and enriching the lives of vulnerable young people.

Supporting Transition to Independent Living

Young London Today is a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping young people leaving local authority care make a successful transition to independent living and education or employment. Our core activity is providing supported accommodation for young people leaving care. Approaching 100 young people currently benefit from these services over 17 local authorities in the London area and we are currently in the process of expanding our service into the Home Counties.

🖤 Black History Month Special Event – Jobs, Skills & Careers Fair
Our young people had the fantastic opportunity to attend and participate in a Jobs, Skills & Careers Fair as part of our Black History Month activities.

With 40 companies in attendance, our young people were able to explore a wide range of opportunities, including:

💼 Live employment and job opportunities
🎓 Apprenticeships, training and courses
🚀 Work experience opportunities
🧭 Careers information, advice and guidance
🛠️ Skills development and future career pathways
It was a valuable opportunity for our young people to meet employers, build confidence, expand their networks and gain a better understanding of the opportunities available to them.
We are proud to support our young people in exploring their potential, developing their skills and building their futures. 🌟

Life changes, pressures, and challenges can affect mental wellbeing, and knowing where to find support can make all the difference. At our supported accommodation, we create a safe and supportive environment where young people feel listened to, valued, and empowered to develop healthy coping strategies. Promoting open conversations about mental health helps build resilience, confidence, and a sense of community.
