United Response

United Response We support people with disabilities, autistic people and people with mental health needs to live the lives they choose. Welcome to our page.

United Response is a charity working across England and Wales that supports people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, physical disabilities and autism to take control of their lives. We do this in many different ways - from supporting people to live as independently as possible in their own homes to helping them access their community, get training and seek work opportunities. We also campaign with, and on behalf of, the people we support on the issues that affect their lives.

Earlier this year, our CEO .terroni announced that she would be running the 2027 London Marathon alongside someone we support, and we’re so excited to reveal that person is !

Take a look at this video from our recent Coffee & Connect all-hands meeting, where our Community Fundraiser Anne-Marie McCotter introduced Michael to the team, followed by a chat with Kate.

With plenty of marathon experience behind him, Michael is passionate about running and the support he's received from us, which makes him the perfect fit for Team United Response next year. Keep your eyes peeled for more of his training updates with Kate in the near future.

We're so happy to have you on board, Michael!

Our team at Boscawen Farm has been busy lately getting everything weather-proof and ready for the months ahead.

Take a look at these photos of them successfully bringing in the baled hay to the barn, safely stored and ready to be used as animal feed throughout the winter months. On top of that, they’ve also completely rebuilt our Yurt following recent storm damage.

A huge well done to everyone involved! 👏

On Saturday 12th September 2026, our Team Manager in York, Ben, and a group of eight people will be taking on the Scarborough Castle to Whitby Abbey Walking Challenge! 🚶

The group will be walking along the stunning Yorkshire coastline, to complete a 22-mile route from Scarborough Castle to Whitby Abbey, all to raise funds for United Response's Men’s Health Group.

This extremely important cause is all about inclusion and community, helping those who attend the Men's Health Group to take part in activities that bring people together and support mental health in a practical way.

So, if you'd like to sponsor the group as they lace up their walking boots, check out their donation page here: https://www.justgiving.com/page/ben-whiting-1?utm_medium=FR&utm_source=CL
