A happy Easter everyone! We had a lovely day at Heartwood yesterday. A bit of work (the shed got treated and the dead hedge topped up) a bit of craft (Easter trees made and duck eggs painted) some Slackline antics for the first time this year, and some beautiful nests were made with mud dragon and unicorn eggs inside.

Maybe you'd like to join us in May at our Jack in the Green themed working party? Watch this space for more details or be an active consumer, find us on Eventbrite and follow us to be notified when new events are launched!!

Have a great day whatever you're up to, and enjoy the glorious Spring bursting out all around us!

A beautiful Wild Moon Afternoon yesterday! Our women and girls only monthly gathering this month saw us cutting and whittling our own Hazel mobility sticks, and led by Hannah, Wildfitness head coach, we put them to good use as you can see!

We also had time to rest and recover in the Spring sunshine, chat, share our favourite books, look at the first bluebells and drink tea by the fire! If you'd like to join us at our next one on April 18th you can find out more and book your place here:

We've been quiet for a while. To be honest there's been quite a bit of reflection happening for us around all this AI malarkey. Also the feeling that The Algorithm has the power over who sees our posts had led us to focus even more on the In Person stuff (you know the Real stuff that matters, in Real Life rather than the increasing madness which seems to define our relationship with social media).

Go Wild is a hopeful organisation in this bonkers world though. It's very existence reminds us that we can leave this imaginary, fabricated complexity of the online world and enter the real one to nurture our Wild selves, increasingly hidden under the many masks of online communication.

We can also discover plenty of other like minded souls doing the same, and rediscover true community where you can reach out and look directly into someone's face, touch their arm, even give them a hug. Where you can get a sense of how they are really feeling and you can resonate together in true communication.

We hope to reconnect more people this year. Come on! Come and find us at Heartwood. Put the phone down. Remember what really matters ###

A beautiful crisp afternoon in the woods with this lovely bunch of women and girls today! The first Wild Moon Afternoon of 2026, and our second year of running as a group at Heartwood.

Such a special bit of 'time out of time', with this month's guest Hannah Beadle, who gave a great talk and Q and A on health and wellness Wildfitness style!!

Lots of take aways, and we all made one small lifestyle change to start the year. I'm going to start regularly lifting weights just a small amount each day. Others are thinking about their sleep hygiene by turning off screens an hour before bed or removing electronics from bedrooms. Others are thinking about varying their day to day movements to include hanging from a bar daily, or sitting on the floor more.

Thanks so much to Hannah for this illuminating and inspiring talk, and watch this space for the Play Revolution... you heard it first here!!

Women of Croydon! Tomorrow is our first Wild Moon Afternoon of 2026. If you'd like to join us at Heartwood (our lovely site within Frylands Wood Scout Outdoor Centre) for an afternoon of relaxed fireside chat with Hannah Beadle CEO of the wonderful Wildfitness https://wildfitness.com/

She'll be answering questions and sharing tips and inspiration for a healthier, happier ways of being which you can take easily into your life - perfect for the start of another year!

There will be shared snacks, and a precious couple of hours of 'you time' among the trees, listening to birdsong, and perhaps a chance to notice the first small breath of Spring, tiny green shoots and catkins to give us hope for the brighter days ahead.
