Our thoughts are with the victims’ families, the survivors and the local community as well as the heroic firefighters and paramedics who responded to the tragic events that night.

Yemi Hughes, mother of Andre Aderemi who was murdered in Croydon in 2016 said,

"After writing a book, a way of pouring out my trauma and starting the healing process, I decided to stop campaigning and focus on my now teenage son who was still not coping well. When Idris Elba's production team reached out to me, I could not help but to support their work. Not for me or for Andre but for all the young people and families out there who we want to stop from ever being in the position my family and I found ourselves in. It is time for our young people to be able to walk about without fear of violence and for Parents to feel reassured that their children will come back home alive!"

Our team is busy promoting our first ever Youth Forum project, looking for young men and women footballers aged 13-19 to be a part of this exciting and unique opportunity.

The Youth Forums will be....
- For young footballers to express their voice on issues about the 'young footballing journey’
- To learn about campaigning and advocating for themselves and other young footballers
- To develop new skills with guidance and support from experienced facilitators
- To collaborate with each other and create a Youth Forum they're proud of

Player Voice Youth Forums will be diverse, player-led and collaborative as the boys and girls group will be able to learn from each other, and receive mentoring from the facilitators. 
 
There's a simple application process for young players to apply, as it's important we strive for a diverse and representative group of young people, to represent their views and be advocates for others. This is OPEN NOW and applications close at 11:59pm on Monday 7th August.
