🌱 Something exciting is growing at Ashburton Park! 🥕🍅🌻
Our Food Growing Project is really starting to take root at Ashburton Lodge and the Oasis Community Space at Arena and we’re loving seeing these spaces come alive! 🙌
What started with a few raised beds and a big idea is growing into something much bigger. 💚
We want to create spaces where young people, families, schools and local residents can grow, learn and get their hands dirty together discovering where food comes from, enjoying nature and hopefully eating some delicious home-grown produce along the way! 🥬🫛🍓
And we’re only getting started… 👀
We’ve got big dreams for food growing across Ashburton Park: more growing spaces, more opportunities for young people and families to get involved, community growing days, cooking and eating together, and plenty more muddy hands! 🌱😂
Because growing food isn’t just about what ends up on the plate.
It’s about community, wellbeing, learning, sustainability and belonging. 💚
