At the Good Food Matters Community Food Learning Centre we run bespoke programmes for specific sections of the community. These include: Young people not in education or training (NEAT), homeless teenagers and those leaving care, young carers and older carers, teenage mums and dads, isolated older people living alone or in care homes, people of all ages with mental disabilities including autism, p

eople of all ages with physical disabilities inc. We will offer:
- Accredited and non-accredited cookery and horticulture courses
- Training in sustainable food growing using organic gardening methods and techniques, inc. beekeeping and recycling waste
- A focus on targeted learning, employability skills, health and safety, in a working practical environment and progression for further studies
- Schools and college curriculum based programmes
- Short- term to long-term apprenticeship programmes
- Volunteers programmes
- Community wide gardening projects
- An understanding of the value of affordable, local food to schools, hospitals, voluntary organizations and local businesses.
- Free training and free produce to all volunteers when available
- Surplus produce to those in need
- Local food enterprise produce and Vegbox Scheme (in development)
- We aim to have a community shop in Fieldway enabling the community to access affordable healthy food

The Stanley Arts Community Assembly takes place on Saturday 4 July. Stanley Arts

Head to Stanley Hall for a day of meaningful conversations and creative activities exploring how we can create local resilience in response to climate change, biodiversity, and social equality.

- Meet local citizens and activists, share your concerns, and collaborate on pathways to a better future.

- Hear from inspiring guest speakers like Leonie Osborne from Croydon Climate Action and Amanda McGrath from Good Food Matters, plus connect with local action groups making a difference.

- Enjoy a free vegetarian and vegan lunch, engage in activities for young people, and end the day with networking in their bar.

- Tickets are free.

Donations are welcomed to support community engagement programming.
