Bringing dreams to life for children with shorter lives How was Taylor-Made Dreams founded? What services does Taylor-Made Dreams provide?

Taylor-Made Dreams was set up by Suzi Mitchell in the memory of, and inspired by Taylor Mitchell, Suzi’s son, who sadly lost his courageous battle against a terminal condition on the 2nd of September 2011 at the age of 15. A fund was set up called Taylors Bucket of Wishes Association by two dear family friends, this fund enabled Taylor to tick off his own bucket list before he passed away. Taylor-Made Dreams was then founded in 2014 (Charity registration number - 1158174) so that other children with life-limiting illnesses could fulfil their dreams. We were very privileged to have Taylor’s comic hero John Bishop come on board as our official patron. John has been an amazing patron, and just recently attended a lunch with some of our supporters to thank them for their donations. Taylor-Made Dreams’ main service is achieving bucket list wishes for our children. Bucket list wishes is not our only service, as we also provide: counselling and holistic therapy sessions for both the children and their immediate family, use of a wheelchair access vehicle, medical sheepskin fleeces, family portraits, silver dragonfly pendant keepsakes, medical travel grants for essential medical appointments, the Sibling Support Service & the technology loan library. Our objective is to provide ongoing support to enable children and their families to enjoy memorable experiences and spend time together when time is all too short. Enabling lasting memories, through experiences and physical keepsakes, is at the core of our services at Taylor-Made Dreams 💜

Within our memory keepsakes service, hand casts allow our families to create beautiful sculptures of individual or holding hands 🤝🏼 Every hand cast can be created from the comfort of the home, hospital or a place of their choosing, to support all mobility needs.

At the end of the process, our families have something that can be treasured; a beautiful reminder of their love and connection, and the magical memories they have made together.

A TMD medical sheepskin delivery arrived recently at Haven House Children's Hospice, one of our newer referral partners in Essex, delivered by TMD volunteer Jon 💜

Haven House Children’s Hospice cares for seriously ill babies and children (up to the age of 18), at their hospice in Woodford Green, and through outreach services in the home and local community. Providing a warm and comforting environment while they go through the toughest of times.

We're so grateful to be able to further our support across Essex with the help of fantastic charities like Haven House. Together we can enable more families to hear and benefit from both organisations’ services, whilst reaching more children outside of our referral criteria through our medical sheepskin initiative 🐑

Suzi and Simon have headed up to London today, to take part in a fantastic fundraiser hoping to raise £10,000 for Taylor-Made Dreams 💜

ODGroup are taking on a 15 mile site walk, between their 9 ODGroup sites, all with the hopes of raising vital funds for Taylor-Made Dreams families.

This week we met with TMD Warrior Allen 💜

We were able to bring out a big smile with a delivery of toys, books, drawing supplies and a medical sheepskin, followed by an even bigger one with the creation of his wish list.

Throughout Allen's list are wishes to create memories with his siblings and family, to make sure they are all able to create positive memories together. A truly beautiful dream 🫶

A recent delivery of wishes of sensory musical toys and soft play equipment, enabled magical memories for TMD Warrior Josh and his brother 💜

"I just wanted to send a huge thank you for all the wonderful gifts you have sent for Josh. Everything has been so thoughtful and incredibly appreciated.

The soft play equipment in particular has been an enormous hit! Josh has used it so much, and his brother has loved playing on it with him too. They have both spent most of the weekend enjoying it, which has been so lovely to see and has brought them - and us - so much joy. Thank you again for everything you continue to do for our family. You did it! 💜

We have a few events still coming up that couldn't fit into September, and there was even a last day event from our youngest TMD Ambassador Norah who held a cake sale raising £398!

But as of today, thanks to the incredible support throughout September, your fundraising efforts have helped us to reach and beat our £30,000 goal, raising an amazing ... £33,490.25! 🎉

With these funds we can provide support groups for both TMD parents and siblings throughout 2027, creating a safe, welcoming space each month, where they can create new positive memories and connect with other people in similar situations to their own.

Your donations, in memory of what would have been Taylor's 30th year, will make a big impact for our families and we are so grateful for everyone's support. A truly magical month, that has gone above and beyond to continue Taylor's legacy, thank you 💜

Today is the last day of 30 Days for Tay, and what an amazing month it has been! 💜

💜 Tracey Easton raised £180 from a family fundraising 3 course dinner
💜 One of our young community members Eliza, completed a 30 lap park walk (Over 13 miles!) and has now raised over £600
💜 Kick-Start Publishing chose us as their CFJ flooring awards evening charity of choice, raising over £800
💜 MIA held a coffee morning in the office raising £63
💜 Derek & Jill Carver held a soul music afternoon in Doncaster, raising £1,575
💜 Adam Marchant completed the Berlin Marathon and has now raised over £1,000
