Originally formed in March 2010 TheFunkyChoir is a faith based Community Choir which relaunched itself in January 2023 with a new musical director and Leadership Team. The choir performs a funky and varied mix of music including soul, blues, rock and country with a hint of gospel style. There's no need for any previous singing or musical experience - just a willingness to join in and participate i

n an active way. The choir meets on a weekly basis throughout the year to rehearse - we rehearse on Thursday evenings from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm at: St Mary's Caritas Centre, 65 Delamere Street, Crewe, Cheshire CW1 2JX. Additionally, the choir is happy to accept invitations to perform public concerts. Our Music - we sing an eclectic mixture of soul, R&B, Blues, Rock and Country... and all with a hint of Gospel. Choir Fees - TheFunkyChoir is a not for profit society - we ask members to make a donation so we can afford the ongoing running costs of the choir. We perform publicly to help raise funds for local organisations.

What a fabulous afternoon we had yesterday with Mika of ART BRASIL taking part in her drumming workshop. It was great fun and also reinforced the techniques we try and employ in choir of watching the conductor and listening to everyone else around us.
