There's one part of every Breast Friends Surgery Kit that can't be bought, donated or ordered.

A name.

Before each Kit leaves HQ, the volunteer who packed it adds their name to the packing sheet.

It's a simple thing, but time and time again, people tell us it's the part they remember.

Knowing that a real person packed their Kit. Someone who took the time to check every item, fold the tissue paper and send a little kindness out into the world.

Today, Amanda was one of the wonderful volunteers helping pack Surgery Kits for patients being treated at Ipswich and Colchester Hospitals.

For Amanda, it was just part of a morning spent volunteering.

For someone opening one of those Kits in the days ahead, her name may become a small but important reminder that they're not facing this alone.💕

If you've received a Breast Friends Kit, we'd love to hear from you. What was the item, gesture or detail that meant the most?

Sometimes the best medicine isn't found in a hospital.

It's finding someone who understands. Someone who gets it without needing an explanation. Someone who can sit with the hard days, celebrate the good ones, and laugh with you along the way.

Breast cancer can feel incredibly isolating. That's why community matters.

Every friendship, conversation, hug, coffee date, message, event, and shared experience helps remind us that none of us have to face it alone.

This lovely photo of Sandra and our Ipswich & Woodbridge Ambassador, Lynn, captures something we see time and time again at Breast Friends.

Friendships formed through shared experiences. Laughter found in unexpected places. People who just get it.

This is what Breast Friends is all about.💕

If you're in the UK, have been affected by breast cancer, and you're looking for connection, friendship and people who understand, we'd love to welcome you. Visit our website to find out more about our community and upcoming events: www.breastfriends.co.uk

£2000 raised. 66 Kits funded. 💝

A huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to Hawstead Sporting Club for choosing to support Breast Friends.

Thanks to their generosity, 66 people facing breast cancer will receive a Breast Friends Kit. Something practical to help them through, and a reminder that there’s a whole community standing with them.

This is the difference kindness makes.

If you’d like to find out more about how you can support our mission, we’d love to hear from you. Every act of kindness helps us make sure a Breast Friends Kit finds it's way into the hands of someone who needs it.💕

It’s never really about the walk or the coffee ☕️

It’s finding your people.
Feeling understood without having to explain.
Sitting down and realising you can just be yourself.

This weekend’s Wimbledon meet up was full of that. Easy chats, a few laughs, and those moments where connection just happens.

Thank you to our lovely Wimbledon Ambassador Verity for hosting 💕

All of our events are shared in our online hubs and on the events page on our website. If there isn’t something local to you yet, you’re always welcome to join our virtual events… and if you feel like you’d like to be part of bringing this to your area, we’d love to chat.

Big news from Breast Friends… our team is growing!

Please join us in giving a very warm welcome to Clare, our new Community and Support Co-Ordinator.

Clare has organisational skills that are second to none and she's exactly the sort of person that helps things run smoothly behind the scenes. But more importantly, she has a huge heart. She shares the values that sit right at the centre of Breast Friends: kindness, compassion and a real care for the people in our community.

This feels like a really special moment for us.

What began with Carrie & Janine, two strangers affected by breast cancer sitting on Felixstowe beach, with a shared determination to create something good out of a difficult time, has grown into an incredible community supported by volunteers, members and supporters across the UK.

And now our team is growing too.

Clare… welcome to Breast Friends. We’re so glad you’re here 💕
