‘We need to stop trying to fix the women; there’s nothing wrong with us. We need to fix the system.’ – Anne Boden

“My inspiration comes from you and your engagement – today and everyday – with our wonderful movement. Our impassioned discussions on our two resolutions today are just one reflection of the collective power we hold and the impact we have in our communities.
So, we will be back together in 2027 in Hull. I look forward to standing here and looking out at you all!” – Jeryl

We are delighted to share a new resource for the Bystanders Can Be Lifesavers campaign, the Defibrillator (AED) Guidance Resource.

The guide is full of practical information to help you raise awareness on the importance of defibrillators (AEDs) and includes clear, accessible guidance and resources on AEDs and offers a number of ways for WI members to get involved to make a lifesaving difference.

Increasing confidence and understanding around defibrillator use directly supports the aims of the Bystanders Can Be Lifesavers campaign, empowering bystanders to act quickly and effectively during a cardiac arrest. This guide will act as a vital tool for you to raise awareness on the importance of having AEDs in your communities.

It is finally here - our newly rebranded WI Magazine: and a new way to provide you deep-dives and longer interviews on all things NFWI.

Fittingly for a summer issue, we present 10 pages on beach life, and spotlight some wonderful coastal WIs. We've also got a new section where your questions are answered by a WI panel in 'WIsdom'; a piece on slow crafting; and all your favourites from recipes to campaign updates.

We really hope you enjoy your new magazine, and that you find it a great read for the summer!
