Well done St Nicholas Manor residents 👏🏼. I’ve spoken to Lyndsay and she has confirmed that she shared the giving link once a week in their estate group encouraging people to donate no matter how big or small.

She also approached businesses working from home to donate.

Right now, many estates in 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧 still do NOT have a life-saving defib. I am working with North East Hearts with Goals and Cramlington Town Council to install a public access defibrillator with a secure cabinet directly on 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 estate.

Here’s the commitment:

✅ 100% of the funds raised go directly to North East Hearts with Goals
✅ The defib will be installed on the estate that raises the funds
✅ 100% community owned.

This isn’t about “maybe one day.”
This is about being ready when the worst day happens.

Think you know what cardiac arrest looks like? Think again.

📣 Heart emergencies can happen to anyone young, fit, healthy and often without warning.

❤️‍🩹 That’s why we’re fundraising to bring more defibrillators into our community to save lives when it matters most.

📍 In the UK, fewer than 1 in 10 people survive a cardiac arrest outside of hospital, that changes dramatically with early action:

👉 If someone receives a shock from a defibrillator within 3–5 minutes of collapse, survival rates can climb to upto 70%. Compared with the low overall survival without one. 

💔 Every single minute counts:
For every minute defibrillation is delayed the chance of survival drops by about 10%. 

📊 Studies also show that when bystanders use an AED, the chances of making it to hospital and leaving hospital alive can be more than doubled or even higher compared to waiting for ambulance arrival alone. 

💡 AEDs are designed for everyday people to use no medical training needed. They give clear spoken instructions and are safe to use.
