Congratulations to St Ronan's College Lurgan, St. John the Baptist's College and Markethill High School for their exceptional work as part of this year’s School Charity Challenge, organised by The John Wilson Memorial Trust and Ulster Carpets
A team from each school conducted research and made a presentation to four of the Trustees, explaining why their chosen charity should receive funding and how it would benefit from the support.
The event culminated in a thrilling competition, with St John the Baptist College emerging as the winners, taking home an incredible £5,000 for their chosen charity, Barnardo's Pharos.
St Ronan’s College and Markethill High School also earned their chosen charities £500 each. St Ronan’s College supported Lurgan Men's Shed and Markethill High School supported Paws and People Animal Rescue Charity.
The event not only highlighted the generosity and community spirit of all the participants but also reinforced the Trust’s commitment to supporting meaningful causes.
