Please keep sharing if you can. Every share helps this campaign reach more people.

This campaign is calling for improved security across Coventry’s cemeteries and crematoria following recent thefts and vandalism. Every family deserves to visit their loved ones without fear.

The support has been incredible so far, but we still have a long way to go, especially with the official Coventry City Council ePetition.

If you live, work or study in Coventry, please take a moment to sign the Council ePetition too. Together, we can show how much this matters to our community.

💔

A grieving mother can replay the same memory hundreds of times, searching for the exact moment she believes she should have known something was wrong. She may question what she said, what she missed, what she could have done differently, and whether one different choice would have changed everything.

Grief has a cruel way of taking what she knows now and using it against the mother she was then.

But she did not know that ordinary moment would become the last. She did not have the ending while she was still living the story. She loved her child with the knowledge, strength, and understanding she had at the time.

Blaming herself can sometimes feel easier than accepting that there are losses even a mother’s love could not prevent. But she is already carrying the pain of missing her child. She should not have to spend the rest of her life putting herself on trial too.

Have you ever blamed yourself for something you could not have known then?

PLEASE HELP ME PROTECT COVENTRY’S GRAVES 💔

In less than 48 hours, my daughter Avayah’s grave at Canley Crematorium was targeted twice by thieves.

After sharing what happened, several bereaved families contacted me to say they’d experienced similar thefts at cemeteries across Coventry.

No family should have to visit the grave of a loved one wondering if their flowers, ornaments or keepsakes will still be there.

I’ve started a petition calling on Coventry City Council to improve security across Coventry’s cemeteries, including CCTV where appropriate.

If you could spare 30 seconds to sign and share, I’d be so grateful🩷

Sadly, someone has taken items from my daughter’s grave at Canley Crematorium Coventry twice this week.

Earlier this week, when we arrived to see my daughter everything was pulled out the ground and a complete mess once we picked everything up and started to put everything back in its place we noticed two little Shimmer and Shine figures and a large single rose have been taken. We went back yesterday (Friday) to check on her grave to make sure everything else was okay, only to discover that the small white duck & dog have now also gone missing.

We visited her grave on Monday, Wednesday and yesterday (Friday), which means these incidents happened sometime between Monday and Wednesday, and then again between Wednesday and Friday.

We are absolutely heartbroken that someone would take items from a child’s grave. They may seem like small ornaments to someone else, but they were placed there with love and mean the world to our family.

If anyone knows anything, saw anything, or has any information at all, please could you message me privately. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you.

My daughter Avayah-Laylah was born sleeping on 2nd May 2025, just 25 days before her due date. A placental abruption took her from us and nothing has ever been the same since. Grief is something you learn to live with, not something you move on from. Sharing her story is how I keep her memory alive, I never imagined this would be my story.
Losing my daughter changed me forever💔🪽👼🏼

You would have been 14 months old my sweet faced baby girl
Not a day goes by where I don't think of you always and look for signs of you in everything I do, instead of buying milk and nappies I'm buying cute things for your garden to be as pretty as I can possibly make it and that's something that'll never sit right with me my girl. You should be here. You should be here with me, daddy and your big sister getting all the snuggles in the world but you're up in heaven and I hope you can feel how much we love you from up in the sky 👼🏼🩷🎀
