Skills for Care is hosting their next Personal Assistants Network event:
- Shaping learning, skills development and peer exchange
- Tuesday 16 June, 10:30am to 11:30am, via Microsoft Teams.

The session is free to join and open to employed and self-employed personal assistants. It will include:
- guidance and resources available for PAs
- updates on future network activity
- peer-to-peer discussion
- polls to help shape future learning priorities

We’re looking for a caring and patient PA to support a mother who has arthritis, psoriasis and some mobility issues with daily living and support with her parenting role.

🕑Hours: 18.5 hrs per week
💷Weekday Pay: £15 per hour
💷Weekend & BH Pay: £16 per hour

👭What does a Personal Assistant in Social Care do?
• Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
• Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
• Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
• Support with food shopping.
• Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
• Support with parenting role as both children have additional needs

🚗Requirements:
Car driver preferred but not essential.

I am the employer and father to my daughter who has a diagnosis of Severe learning disabilities, Autism and has some mobility issues.
We are seeking an experienced Personal Assistant to provide care and support for the hours allocated, allowing us a break from our caring role and promoting independence, whilst encouraging her to try new things and access social activities away from the home, in the SR4 area, Sunderland.
