Our Bedworth Young Carers came together tonight ahead of Carers Week to share their thoughts on what it means to build carer-friendly communities. 🏫

We explored what support for young carers looks like in school, what’s working well, the challenges they face, and how things could be improved. Thank you to our wonderful young carers who shared their experiences and ideas 💛

June is looking busy and exciting for our young carers! 💛

From our Carers Week celebration at the to the Young Carers Festival in Southampton, there’s plenty to look forward to this month. Alongside these events, our regular groups across Warwickshire will continue to provide opportunities for young carers to relax, have fun, and connect with others.

Today the Young Carers Team at Carers Trust Heart of England are proudly wearing green for ‘Wear It Green Day’ as part of Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

As a team, we see every day how important mental health, wellbeing, and emotional support are for the young carers we support. Many young carers balance school, friendships, and growing up whilst also helping to care for someone at home, and that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

Wearing green today is a reminder that mental health matters, support matters, and no young carer should feel alone.

This week, our Bedworth Young Carers enjoyed a movie night watching Ratatouille! 🍿

The film sparked some lovely conversations around following your passions and believing in yourself, even when others may doubt you. With many of our young carers currently navigating SATs and mock exams, it felt like a really meaningful message. 🫂

It was a great opportunity for everyone to support one another, share advice, and remind each other that they’re not alone during stressful times 💛
