The better question is: “What does she need to leave safely?”

Violence against women and children is not just a women’s issue.

Too many women are being subjected to domestic abuse behind closed doors while continuing to go to work, care for families and carry on as though everything is fine.

We need more men in Coventry to step forward as Domestic Abuse Champions.

Men who are willing to recognise the signs, challenge harmful attitudes and behaviours, start conversations and help make workplaces and communities safer.

A young woman whose life was stolen by an ex-partner who relentlessly stalked her.

Stalking is not love. It is not harmless. It is a pattern of control, intimidation and fear that can have devastating consequences.

Today we remember Alice, stand alongside her family and recognise the incredible work of Ruggles Trust in turning unimaginable loss into lasting change.

Alice should still be here. We must keep listening, recognising the warning signs and taking stalking seriously. Every time.

Gift vouchers are one of the most useful donations we receive. They give women choice, dignity and control and can be used for Christmas gifts, food, clothing, toiletries, school uniform, shoes and other essentials, not just in December.

They also require no storage or sorting, so support can reach women and children quickly.

At Coventry Haven Women's Aid, we're looking for a passionate, committed woman to join our specialist team, working alongside GP practices to help healthcare professionals recognise domestic abuse and ensure patients receive the support they need.

✨ 12-month maternity cover
⏰ 30 hours per week
💷 £31,537 per annum (pro rata)
