Good afternoon sadly to say the lights have been vandalised once again in the flower beds .I have now put cages over them and Pride of Place will add some earth to cover them .People in this town work hard to make it a lovely place to live .It is such a shame that there must be some who don't like what we have achieved through fund raising and hard work. I am asking all residents to get involved if you see any vandalism in the town ,report it to the police and they will make more town visits to check . The lights enhance the town as well as the hard working gardeners .If you can Spare a few hours to either help on the Christmas lights team or Pride of place let us know as we can do with extra hands .We have to plan ahead to get the town looking good all year and at Christmas time. 🎄

Attention the good people of Coupar .Myself and Darren have been out this afternoon assessing the damage done last night to the beautiful lights at the horse. This is not the first that someone has vandalised the lights on the trees however they have now broken the 4 lights in the flower beds .,as well as trying to pull the electric box off the wall .These will now have to be replaced costing money and labour .If you have any information the police would like to hear from you as it has now been reported to the police. Please if you see any vandals at the lights get intouch with us as this project has cost a lot of money with donations from businesses and individuals and fund raising .
We do not want this happening to the town after all the effort put in to make the town entrance looking great. We will now be replacing the 4 lights broken but it will take Time to replace them. PLEASE BE VIGILANT AND HELP US CATCH THE VANDALS .

The lights are back on at the Horse .Sadly our power was sabotaged as Someone had taken out the fuse as well as the wires .We are very disappointed that this has happened when we worked so hard to get it finished for the town .
Darren has now fixed it and once we have a dry spell the horse itself will also get lights around it to be complete .The area wil be on all year and at different times of the year the lights will change colour for each occasion ✨️

Project Horse was a big achievement last year for the team to raise funding for 7 trees the Horse and flower beds. We estimated it would be £4000 and that included £2000 to the council for putting in a new cable to take the voltage going in .We hit our target and the project is almost finished. The trees will be kept on all year as a feature to the town and the lights will change colour for different events going on .The Horse itself will get finished when weather permits in the next few weeks as we now have the lights for it. I would now like to thank the town businesses who got behind the project along with individuals who kindly came along with donations .Without the donations we wouldn't have been able to buy the lights and it is now looking fabulous .

Merry Christmas from all the team to you .It is now a wrap and I can chill .Thanking you all for supporting our events this year and the donations from businesses and individuals for us to light up the trees and the horse. Without your support it wouldn't have been possible. 3 weeks in the reuse shop was great and my girl helpers were fabulous .Santa was amazing with all the kids and adults also .We all had a laugh .Be proud of what we have achieved as a community and Coupar Angus is looking amazing The team have worked hard all year behind the scenes and it takes many men to help and I thank them all .Peace be with you and a little kindness goes a long way . Happy Christmas 🎄
