Satori Tai Chi and Qigong classes are available at the Coulsdon Community Centre every Saturday morning. Choose from the Sunrise Buddha Palm Qigong session at 7.45am, awakening your energy within as the day begins, or the experience the healing powers of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water in our Five Element Qigong at 9.00am. Each session lasts an hour, and costs just £12 if you pay as you go. A reduced rate is available for the monthly (four weeks) membership. Flexi Flics Gymnastics provide recreational gymnastics classes for children aged 4 years old and upwards, with all lessons run by qualified coaches who are DBS checked, insured and First-Aid trained. The focus is on fun, but there are goals that can be achieved, with awards and certificates given out at the end of each term. Qilates is inspired by Qigong and Pilates flow, incorporating gentle tapping of the body to help release blockages and support the flow of internal energy. You’ll move through all planes of motion, engaging the core while creating space and alignment in the body, while also taking time to breathe deeply and calm the nervous system.

This is a pay-as-you-go class, so you can choose the days that feel right for you. You’re in charge of how often you attend and how much effort you put in, allowing balance with the rest of your life.

It’s a welcoming space where you can step away from daily tasks and explore props that support your movement—no obligations, no judgment.

Every Monday 7 pm, Tuesday 8 am, and Friday 8:45 am at Coulsdon Community Centre (Second Floor).

Step into spring with a deeply relaxing experience. Starting on Friday 17th April, I am holding monthly sound baths in the upstairs hall in Coulsdon Community Centre between 19:30-20:30. A sound bath with gongs, Himalayan bowls, and chimes is a deeply immersive journey where layered vibrations wash through your body, calming the mind and gently restoring balance from within. As the sounds ripple and resonate, you’re invited into a state of profound relaxation where tension softens, energy realigns, and a quiet sense of wholeness returns. All you need to do is lie down and allow yourself the time and space for restoration to occur. There’s only 12 spaces, so book quickly before they all go!

The Metropolitan Police are endeavouring to build bridges with local communities. This drop-in surgery at Coulsdon Library can enable you to speak directly with one of the team of PCSOs who have a responsibility to look after Coulsdon. If there's a policing issue you'd like to raise, this is your opportunity.

SGN (The gas distribution company) have been granted leave to undertake roadworks on Chipstead Valley Road to provide a new service connection from the Monday 27th October to Friday 31st October. According to the map provided, the works will take place to the west of Linden Avenue, and although foot traffic will be possible the road is expected to be closed to all vehicle traffic. If you’re coming to the Centre that week, from the west (Chipstead/Woodmansterne/Banstead), please take an alternative travel route if you can. The recommended detour is via Rectory Lane and Carshalton Road, approaching Coulsdon via Woodcote Grove Road and re-joining Chipstead Valley Road at the traffic lights by the Post Office. This is very much a long way round, so please leave more time to travel.
