Tomorrow, Friday 15 August, is the 80th anniversary of VJ Day, when Japan surrendered and the Second World War ended. Alongside the national commemorations, including a two-minute silence at noon, the Corsham Branch of the Royal British Legion will hold a two-minute silence in Martingate at 11am, followed by a wreath laying at the WW2 memorial at the Garden of Remembrance (on the corner of Stokes Road and Station Road). The bells at St Bartholomew's will also be rung from 9.30-10.40am, followed by two minutes of tolling.

As part of the Corsham VE Day 80th anniversary celebrations, two of our students had the honour of presenting a wreath on behalf of all the staff and students at The Corsham School. A proud moment as we remembered those who served and sacrificed. Lest we forget 🇬🇧
