On Tuesday we visited a local dementia-inclusive friendship group run by Age Well East. The ladies enjoyed hot drinks and biscuits, games, colouring and wordsearches. It was a very busy and lively session which is clearly extremely popular.
We were also lucky that there was a music therapist there on that day, who offered the opportunity to choose a song to play with lyrics or the music video on a projector screen to accompany it and add to the experience. Our group choice was Elvis- Hound Dog. The ladies enjoyed the music and watching other group members who were up dancing. Although none of us were up on the dancefloor, there was a performance of a hand jive which went down very well!
We plan to revisit the group in the future as it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

We were thrilled this week to celebrate Pat's 90th Birthday here at our care home! 🥳💐

The day was made extra special with balloons, lots of smiles and family members visiting to share the joy and love. Pat also chose her own home made birthday cake, making the day even more personal and special! 🎈💝🎂
