If you'd like to come along and have a chat with us, about history, art, poetry, culture, cameras and photography - we'll be there from 5.30pm until 6.30pm.

We will also be talking about upoming events for Telford 200.

Really looking forward to visiting this exhibition next week. With a graveyard of over 2500 graves, the wealth of fascinating history amongst them really is something worth knowing more about.

🎉 Join us for the Telford Bi-Centenary Parade! 🎉

On Saturday, 27th June, Conwy will come alive as we celebrate the 200th anniversary of one of the town's most remarkable achievements, the iconic Telford Suspension Bridge.

The Telford Parade will begin at 12.00pm, making its way from the Llandudno Junction side of the Cob, marching down the road of the Cob and then finishing on the Quay, where the celebrations will continue.

Led by the Menai Bridge Band, the Town Council, and visiting dignitaries, and featuring uniformed service groups, local organisations, community groups, flags, bunting, and much more, the parade promises to be a colourful and memorable spectacle for all ages.
We would love to see residents and visitors lining the route to cheer on the participants and be part of this special day. Come along, show your support, and help us celebrate an important chapter in Conwy's history.

Whether you have a connection to the bridge, an interest in local history, or simply want to enjoy a fantastic community event, this is a celebration not to be missed.

We’ve had a slightly wild idea for Conwy Pirate Festival…

AquaTour Water Pistol Battles🏴‍☠️🌊

2 teams.
2 boats.
30 minutes.
One mission…

Don’t get soaked.

The idea is simple — we split you into two teams, load up the water pistols, and head up and down the Conwy River for a fun, chaotic, family-friendly battle on the water.

Think pirate battle… but with water pistols instead of cannons 😅

This would be a shorter 30-minute trip, perfect for families, friends, kids, big kids, and anyone who fancies doing something a bit different during Pirate Festival weekend.

We’re just putting the feelers out before we add it to the schedule…

So, honestly — would you book this?

Drop a 💦 in the comments if you’re up for it, tag your battle crew, and if there’s enough interest we’ll try and make it happen this weekend.

I contributed to this creative collection! Not in the poetry - I'm useless at poetry. Just the odd history bits. However the other half of Conwy History does have his poem in, as does Pwllycrochon History

Copies will be available to buy at the open evening for the exhibition, and also copies are for sale at Oriel Dawn in Conwy town.

On Monday, we will be hosting a special viewing of the Telford 200 exhibition in Diwylliant Conwy Culture Centre between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.
