🎉 Another funding application submitted! 🙌

Every application we submit brings us one step closer to creating more opportunities for our community.

Over the last few weeks we've been working incredibly hard behind the scenes, and we're proud to say we've now submitted another funding bid to help support local children and young people.

So far we've:

✅ Secured our first donation.
✅ Launched funded memberships with local sports clubs.
✅ Built fantastic partnerships with organisations across Consett.
✅ Submitted multiple grant applications to help us grow.

This is just the beginning.

Our aim is simple: remove financial barriers, improve health and wellbeing, and create opportunities for people of all ages across our community.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far—whether you've donated, shared our posts, partnered with us or simply encouraged us along the way. Every bit of support makes a difference.

What a journey it's been... and we're only just getting started! 💙

In just a short space of time, Consett Community Trusts latest programme has gone from an idea to making a real difference in our community.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our local MP Liz Twist, we've already been able to:
🥊 Fund 8 children's memberships at Leadgate Boxing Academy during August.
🥋 Fund 5 children's memberships at Creed MMA during August.
⚽ Support Consett AFC's Active Fun Summer programme, helping even more local children access activities over the school holidays.

This is exactly why Consett Community Trust was created—to remove financial barriers, create opportunities, improve wellbeing and ensure that no child or family misses out simply because of their circumstances.

But this is only the beginning.

We're developing projects that will:
💙 Support children and young people. 💙 Improve health and wellbeing.
💙 Reduce loneliness and social isolation.
💙 Strengthen our community.
💙 Help people when they need it most.

⚽ Keeping children active this summer! ☀️
We're delighted to be supporting Consett AFC Summer Camps this year to help ensure more local children can enjoy a fun, active and positive summer holiday.
At Consett Community Trust, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to take part, make new friends and stay active—regardless of their family's financial circumstances.
The camps offer six weeks of football, multi-sports and fun games in a safe, welcoming environment, with food included for those who choose that option.
A huge thank you to Consett AFC for everything they do for young people in our community, and to CM Flooring for helping to subsidise places for children who are not eligible for Free School Meals.
Together, we're working to remove barriers and create more opportunities for local children and young people.

Consett Community Trust is proud to announce that we will be funding 5 children's memberships at Creed MMA throughout August.
This opportunity has been made possible thanks to a generous £700 donation from our local MP, Liz Twist, and we would like to say a heartfelt thank you for supporting local children and believing in our community.
At Consett Community Trust, we believe every child deserves the chance to discover their potential, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Exciting news for our community! ❤️

Over the past few weeks, Consett Community Trust has been working behind the scenes to develop a number of exciting community projects that we believe could make a real difference across Consett and the surrounding villages.
Our vision is simple:
⚽ Create more opportunities for children and young people.
🥊 Improve health and wellbeing for people of all ages.
🤝 Reduce loneliness and social isolation.
💙 Remove financial barriers so nobody misses out because of their circumstances.

Something exciting is happening... ❤️

⚽🥊 We're Exploring an Exciting New Community Initiative... We'd Love Your Feedback! 🥊⚽
Consett Community Trust is exploring a new project called Positive Futures, designed to remove financial barriers and help more local children and young people access positive activities during the school holidays.
We're currently developing funding applications and working with local partners, including:
⚽ Consett AFC – Holiday Football Camps (ages 6–16)
🥊 Leadgate Boxing Academy ABC – Boxing memberships (ages 12–17)
The aim is to provide funded opportunities for children and young people who may otherwise miss out because of financial circumstances.
At this stage, we're applying for funding and would like to understand the level of interest within our community.
If funding is successful, we'd like to support local children and young people by providing access to high-quality activities that promote:
⚽ Physical health and wellbeing
🤝 Confidence and resilience
💙 Positive friendships
🌟 Safe, structured holiday activities

🥊 Would your teenager benefit from a positive activity this summer? 🥊
Consett Community Trust is looking at funding a limited number of FREE 1-month memberships at Leadgate Boxing Academy during the summer holidays.
The aim is simple – to give local teenagers a safe, structured place to spend time, stay active, build confidence and learn new skills during the school break.
Before we launch, we'd like to gauge interest from the local community.
