Once people sit down with our advisers, they tell us it has been lifechanging. đź’™

📣 COMRIE SPOKE — CALEDONIA LISTENED!

We are delighted to share some very welcome news.

Caledonia Housing Association has confirmed that:

“No immediate changes will be made to the services at the Comrie developments, allowing time to consider other viable options or service models.”

This is the pause our community asked for.

It follows the extraordinary turnout of around 250 people at our public meeting and the clear, united message from residents, families and the wider community: our sheltered and very sheltered housing services matter, and every possible alternative must be properly explored.

We warmly welcome Caledonia’s response and thank its Board and senior officers for listening.

The hard work now begins. We are excited about working constructively with Caledonia, Perth and Kinross Council, the Health and Social Care Partnership, residents, families and the whole community to develop a viable and sustainable alternative for Cameron Court, Tay Place and Almond Place.

This is not yet a reversal of the decision, but it gives us something extremely important: time and an opportunity to build a better solution together.

Thank you to every single person who attended the meeting, wrote a letter, signed and shared information, spoke publicly or offered support. You made this happen.

Comrie has shown what can be achieved when a community stands together for its older and more vulnerable residents.

The campaign continues—but today we should recognise and celebrate a hugely important step forward.

Good afternoon, everyone,
Happy September 1st.
Just a quick reminder that we will not be meeting this month. The next meeting will be our AGM on October 8th.
We are still beavering away behind the scenes. Please contact us at [email protected] if we can assist with anything.

Following a busy summer, the Community Council agreed at our meeting on Thursday to take a well-deserved break for September!

Our next gathering will be our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, October 8th at 7:00 PM.

We'll still be beavering away behind the scenes in the meantime, so please don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything or would like to help out.
