NEXT LITTER PICK 29th April, 11:00 start.

Join the Ocean Conservation Trust and CleanupUK to help clean up Plymouth’s Waterfront and become part of a movement to reduce litter entering our Ocean. We are committed to reducing avoidable plastics in Plymouth and are part of Plymouth’s Plan for Plastics. These litter picks will be led by our staff and open to community to join.

The routes followed tend to be on public footpaths, supporting as many people to be able to join us. If you have any questions regarding the accessibility of our litter picks, please email [email protected] or call 01752 275217.

Please meet at the front entrance to the National Marine Aquarium (PL4 0LF) at the time stated on your booking.

Our team will meet you there with all of the equipment needed, and the pick will commence following a short health and safety briefing. Please ensure you are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions, as we will be running the litter picks in all weathers!

In the event of a weather warning, we will be in touch to cancel the litter pick to ensure the safety of volunteers and staff

Friday the 13th unlucky for some.
But for the environment and community of Keyham this time it was lucky.

Joined by Matthew from EE, El led the pick and it was looking pretty good.

3 bags, 1 tyre and a broken shopping trolley in an hour.

We did find a memorial to a cat that we’d found passed away last year. It was very touching to see how much they were loved.

After the pick Mathew and El enjoyed a pastie and cuppa at KGP - Keyham Green Places.

It was a lovely day filled with chat and laughs.

🙌 Together, community members and corporate volunteers achieved incredible results:
• 16,390 bags of litter were collected
• 124,454 kg of waste was removed

These numbers represent far more than statistics, they reflect shared effort, renewed pride and the visible transformation of public spaces.

Tuesday we will be bringing more festive cheer with the Launch litter pick with the new National Marine Aquarium, Ocean Conservation Trust.

We will be meeting at the Aquarium at 11:00.
We will litter pick and then have mince pies and a cuppa after the pick.
