Just a reminder folk that these herb boxes belong to the whole community to enjoy, use as well as look after. If you see one needing watered please go ahead and water it. If you hear anyone complaining that a box is looking dry gently suggest that they could water it. 😊 Commoning Possibilities - Garvagh Forest and beyond

🌳Plant a Tree for our Future - 🌱Garvagh WI - Planting Progress...

🌿A little update from our Garvagh Institute (Northern Ireland’s very first WI, formed in 1932!) - In celebration of 90 years of WI and in support of the 'Plant a Tree for our Future' campaign to tackle climate change, Garvagh WI members are gifting 90 tree saplings, allocated to the first 90 babies born in the Garvagh area this year!

💚Well, the pupils from Carhill Primary School have now joined in on the action and have decorated beautiful sleeves to cover the plant pots, making the little trees from Garvagh WI look even more lovely! 🎨

🍃WI members are on a mission to plant over 8,000 native trees across the province in 2022. This exciting endeavour to 'Plant a Tree for our Future', in conjunction with the Woodland Trust NI (who supplied the saplings), will form part of a wider initiative to tackle climate change, spearheaded by the WI’s Home and Garden Sub-Committee.

Exploring the possibility of a shared bandstand in the Cornerstone Park.

Come and listen to some community music and have a chat about whether you think a bandstand is a good idea. Commoning Possibilities - Garvagh Forest and beyond
