International Women's Day Lunch 🌸

We had a brilliant day celebrating International Women's Day at on 7th March 2026.

Amazing food, wonderful service, and great company. Thank you to Sean and his team for making us feel so welcome. 🍽😋

What an inspiring evening with our wonderful guest speaker! ✨️🎨

It was fascinating to hear about Shona's journey in starting her interior design business and gaining insight into the interior design trends for 2026.💡🏠

Velvet Interiors works on a wide range of projects from restoration to modern new builds, showcasing creativity and interpreting each client's individual style. 🛋🍃

A big thank to for the engaging talk. Our Pesident, Christine Brown, warmly welcomed Kilrea WI members and special thanks to Kilrea Wzi for biscuits 🍪and our committee for organising tea and coffee. ☕️

Fantastic Training Day for Riverfly Monitoring 💦🍃

It wasva great honour for Garvagh WI to partner with the teams at Hare's Corner Cooperative , 1st Garvagh Boys Brigade, Agivey Anglers Association, and David Houmann- Green to carry out river health monitoring across the Agivey River catchment.

Many thanks to Hares Corner Cooperative for organising such a fantastic training day with Lisa Kirkwood from the Riverfly Partnership on 24th January. We learned both theory and practical skills, including kick sampling , identifying riverflies species, and recording data. - we are now accredited to carry out Riverfly monitoring.

Theatre Night out. 🎭🎶

✨️ A great night out at Guys and Dolls! Ballywillan Drama Group was outstanding - a brilliant cast, fantastic backdrops, and a real Broadway treat. Showing until 31st January. Highly recommended. 👏👏

WI - First meeting of 2026 ✨️

Our first meeting of 2026 took place on Tues, 13th January, and we were delighted to welcome David McKeown as our guest speaker.
David shared a calm, easy-to follow talk on understanding stress and simple ways to manage it. We reflected, practised a helpful tool, and took away something we can use ourselves and share with others. 💚

Thank you, David for such a thoughtful and uplifting session.
