This LGBT+ History Month, we celebrate love, family and parenthood in all its forms. We’re proud to be a space where every family is met with warmth, respect and support, exactly as they are. 🏳️‍🌈🤍

The theme for this year is Science and Innovation, “celebrating the contributions of LGBTQ+ people to technology, medicine, and global challenges like climate change. It highlights historical and contemporary figures to inspire inclusive, innovative futures while addressing the misuse of science against the LGBTQ+ community. ”

LGBT+ History Month was first established in 2005 by the charity Schools OUT UK to coincide with the anniversary of the abolition of Section 28, a law that prevented councils and schools from “promoting homosexuality.” The month encourages education, reflection, and visibility across schools, workplaces, and communities.

We are busy working behind the scenes to make this the best Bump to What Now?! event yet!

A place to access a whole host of services available to you in Colchester during this life changing time. Many of our members will be joining as stallholders and for our panel discussion.

Our aim is for you to leave feeling supported and informed.

If you offer a service for parents to be, babies and new parents we’d love to hear from you. Or perhaps you have a product that you know our parents would love? - We are now welcoming stallholders.

Bump to what now?!

With just over 3 months to go we thought we’d share with you how these wonderful, welcoming and informative events began.

And it’s all about you!

Bringing together professionals and local businesses all under one roof, here to support and guide you as you journey into parenthood.

Maria .colchestersling ran her first event 4 years ago. B2WN has continued to grow and bring people together. It began in a small hall (where many of the B2WN members first met!) but soon needed more space - for more businesses, food, therapy area and our panel talks. Creating an invaluable resource for parents and carers in Colchester.

Maria continues to be the driving force behind the event but now with the support of some fellow members. Because working together - sharing experiences and knowledge- is what this space is all about!

We are looking forward to welcoming you!

Our scheduled Walk and Talk for this Wednesday is postponed. We may add a new date if the temperatures warm up a little and the paths clear. Our next planned walk is on 4th February.

We love walking and chatting with you ❤️

You can also join us on 14th January for our Family Hug.

Jenny is one of our directors - in fact she co founded our wonderful community! She is an IBCLC supporting families with all feeding needs. She now also offers frenulectomy appointments through The Natal Network.

She regularly attends our family hug event offering support. Follow her for tips or contact her for an appointment.
