2026 is the Centenary year for Colchester West End B.C, Mistley & Manningtree B.C, and Wivenhoe B.C.
Congratulations to you all, and on behalf of the Group we wish you a very successful and memorable 100th year.

The jackets are not mandatory but look smart across the green when the Team is in action.

One of Group One's objectives is to maintain encouragement and the promotion of our sport at all levels. And with January almost out of the way we're getting ever closer to the summer season.
With just over four weeks remaining we thought we'd take the opportunity to post a reminder to our followers that the closing date to enter Men's 2026 County competitions is 28th February (Ladies County comp's have already closed). And all National Competition entries close on 1st March.
Many will know that over time the format of several comp's has evolved with the aim of enhancing them for all.
Incidentally, one of the more stand-out changes in recent times has been Bowls England's creation of the 'Foundation Pairs' last year - a competition where each duo consists of (generally speaking) an 'experienced' bowler and a 'less experienced' bowler. Ultimately creating an opportunity to reach the prestigious National Finals at Royal Leamington Spa.
