A festival designed for, with and by young people who enjoy watching films, playing video games, exploring art, comics and filmmaking. Create art and films, or just sit back and watch action, horror, animé and superhero films and a marathon screening of a classic trilogy. Creative workshops will feature advanced elements of film-making. It is being hosted at Firstsite gallery, Colchester from the
Friday 29 May to Sunday 31 May 2015. There will be the chance to submit your own films to the festival with the opportunity to have it screened in the event, with the 300 second film challenge. The competition is open to 15- 25 year olds only; films must be 300 seconds or less in duration. There will also be workshops leading up to the weekend, teaching elements of filmmaking such as sound, cinematography, animation and visual effects, whilst also learning about animation and industry tips, this followed by making a film, is available to anyone.
