🛝 Exciting progress for play provision in Cloughmills!
I'm really pleased that we're finally moving towards the next stage of redeveloping the play park at Strand Park/Fenton Crescent in Cloughmills!
After some delays, I'm glad that Council is now considering the development of a new pitch separately from the play park redevelopment. This means we can finally move forward with plans for the play park without having to wait for decisions about the pitch.
Throughout this process, I've been clear about one thing: the new play park must be designed with the local community, not just for it. And that means listening to the people who will use it most, especially children, parents and carers.
And now's your chance to help shape what comes next!
Council is holding a community consultation, and I'd really encourage local residents to come along, meet the designers and share your ideas.
🛝 What equipment would you like to see?
🌳 What would make the park a fun, safe and welcoming space for children of different ages and abilities?
💭 What would make it a place where families want to spend time?

It's taken longer than any of us would have liked to get to this point, but I'm pleased we're finally seeing progress.
We have a real opportunity to create something fantastic for Cloughmills, and I want to make sure the community is right at the heart of it. So please come along, have your say, and help us create a play park that Cloughmills can be proud of! 💛
