Our new season begins on 16 October with concerts by Opus13, the Martinu and Sacconi quartets and Trio Rosetti. A special event will feature chamber music and songs by Rebecca Clarke. We also have new proposals and deals on Membership, Friends and Sponsorship. Tickets are now available online and we continue to offer free entry for ages 26 and under, so please visit our website for full details.

Under 26s are free on the door. The Society depends very much on donations; I am told that those who do donate feel much better for it. Becoming a Friend or a Sponsor is a formal and generous way to donate, but you can also just add a donation to what you pay for an individual ticket or membership.....

It was a privilege last night to hear the Carducci Quartet – world-renowned for their Shostakovich quartet recordings – play three of them. The performances were full of passion, virtuosity, violence, irony and moving tenderness. An exceptional event!
