A Great Night Celebrating Our Volunteers 💜

Thank you so much to Cleethorpes Pearl Holiday Park who sponsored and made possible our annual Volunteers Night Celebration last weekend.

As always, we hosted our volunteers at an evening of celebration and entertainment, to recognise the work they do and the value they bring, which enables us to support those experiencing domestic abuse across NE Lincs.

Everyone had a great night, having the opportunity to meet many of the team they don't often see and volunteers from other shops and departments and received a small token of thanks from the management team.

The importance of our volunteers and sponsors is always understood and it was great to be able to recognise everyone all together, on the evening.

Everyday Allies Series

Spotting subtle changes in behaviour at work

Sometimes the signs are not obvious.
Sometimes it’s the person who used to chat in the kitchen suddenly keeping to themselves.

You might notice someone:

• Arriving late or seeming anxious about time
• Becoming quieter or more withdrawn
• Checking their phone more than usual
• Avoiding social events or work gatherings
• Seeming distracted, tired or overwhelmed
• Suddenly needing permission or checking in with someone often

A change in behaviour does not always mean someone is experiencing domestic abuse.
But noticing changes with kindness and curiosity matters.

You do not need to have all the answers.
Sometimes simply asking, “You don’t seem yourself lately, are you okay?” can open the door.

💜 Domestic abuse does not stop at the workplace door.
And neither should support.

Find of the Week! 🥫

We’ve had all sorts donated to our charity shops over the years but this might be a first…

Four tins of processed peas!

Someone clearly decided they’d had enough peas in their life and passed them on to us instead.

The good news? We're always hugely grateful for any and all donations we receive.

The bad news? Somewhere out there, someone’s tea might be missing a side dish! 😂

Half Term Fun At Skegness 💜

Children of the families we support enjoyed a fabulous day out at Skegness over half term.

Everyone enjoyed visiting the beach and the aquarium, and had fun playing mini golf.

Thanks to Vikki and the team who made it all happen 💜
