An Edmonton postie spent Thursday afternoon handing out free cups of cold water to locals on the high street, having already spent the day walking his round delivering mail and parcels in the blistering heat.

Timothy Rudolph lent a hand with the free water distribution, which was organised by a local independent parliamentary candidate, on what was one of the hottest days of the week, with temperatures in Edmonton hitting around 34°C.

Between the team involved, who funded the water, stored bottles in fridges overnight and sorted transport, an estimated 120 litres was handed out over three hours in the sunshine, and by all accounts it was very warmly received by grateful passers-by.

A ban on trading with illegal Israeli settlements should have happened a long time ago.

Assume they also agree with Andy Burnham that Labour have made huge mistakes over Gaza
