RAISED 2000 pounds in UK to support COVID DISASTER – SECOND WAVE IN INDIA
COVID 19 SECOND WAVE INDIA "The best way to find yourself, is to lose yourself in the service of others" - Mahatma in India, the poor are always an afterthought. It seems strange, given that it is in extreme poverty, but that is how things have always been. And it hasn’t been unprecedented Covid-19 times with various lockdown restrictions. As the privileged section of the society panicked and hoarded up, many remained necessities like food became unaffordable for many. Efforts from the state and to navigate through these bad times. Inspiring Indian Women (IIW), spreading its wings in India now. With the help of IIW UK, it has managed to Covid Crisis. Among its several other initiatives, some include running successful food drives for 100 to 150 laborers and homeless people every day in Mumbai generating a source of livelihood for Ms. Dimple, a modest house-help in Mumbai. IIW also donated Nebulizers, Blood pressure machines and Diabetes machine worth INR 25,000 to United Multispecialty Hospital in Kandivali, INR 25,000 each to 'Aarambh' NGO in Navi Mumbai and Young Environmentalists Trust to feed street kids and ragpickers, INR 35,000 to support a family that lost its sole breadwinner and INR 20,000 to a family struggling for Kidney transplant. We also distributed dry ration to some 62 families. Donated 150 pounds to Indian Pride Foundation to feed people in slum Area near Thane.

IIW Self Help Groups (SHGs) aims to help women from all backgrounds to come We have started this initiative to help SHGs to register themselves as MSMEs, their livelihood. The team had also been dealing with DV victims, supporting, guiding, counselling
SHE/ HE INSPIRES SPECIAL organised
“The Most Outstanding Educational Role Model Award” during the lockdown in 2020 for Teachers who ensured the magic of learning didn’t stop and have gone the extra mile and made the transition from the blackboard to virtual, despite the overwhelming crisis of pandemic, teachers who have shown immense learning experiences for every student. Apart from monetary contributions, IIW has pledged to use the boons of technology in its favour. They have set up PAN India What’s App groups to coordinate between patients, their families, hospitals and other medical assistance providers. They had liaised with various plasma donors, oxygen concentrators and cylinders distributors, Chemists and hospitals across India to link to the ones in need. The team led by Mrs. Sangita, handled cases day and night, comprises volunteers from all over India as well as the UK. They all strongly believed that we will not be able to sleep well, till India breathes well. Some of the Charity work since we started in 2016 –

2019 – Christmas Party to donate money towards elderly women care centre Guwahati around 280 pounds. Dance for a cause by International Choreographer Sandeep Soparrkar issue of Domestic Violence. It was also to raise funds for a women refuge Solace
2020- A team of 30 ladies to help stranded students and tourists connecting everyone delivery to medicines to any need like just talking on phone to calm down and raised 850 pounds through a Fund Raiser to buy PPE for a care home. Raised 200 pounds 50 pounds for the victims of devastating storm in West Bengal India
