Happy birthday to Dorothy Andersen, MD!

In 1938, Dr. Andersen was the first person to identify cystic fibrosis as a new disease. Her foundational, lifelong work served as a springboard for others to dive deeper into the disease, establish effective diagnostic tools, identify the underlying causes, and develop CF treatments.

You don’t see CF…

Cystic fibrosis is an invisible condition, you can’t see it or what it does to the body. But it’s not invisible to the 15 sufferers in Malta and 10,800 people in the UK whose lives are dominated by it every single day. The challenge of living with cystic fibrosis is invisible. Except to the ones who live it.
