As part of London Sports Festival, we have already had so many fantastic events take place - all made what they are by the brilliant people who show up and take part.

This week, on Thursday 27 August (5 - 7pm), we are hosting one of our most exciting yet - combining the fun of pickleball and meeting new people with the opportunity to learn the life-saving skill of CPR. Your ticket for the event also makes you eligible to take part in the Guinness World Record Attempt taking place at Tower Suites by Blue Orchid Hospitality on 22 and 23 September.

We hope to see lots of you there - tickets can be secured under the 'Activities' tab on the London Sports Festival website.

🏓 Pickleball takes centre stage in the City — and BBC London has taken notice.

We’re delighted to see Central London Alliance’s London Sports Festival featured on BBC London, showcasing our pickleball activation in the City of London's Guildhall Yard in the Culture Mile.

Two courts with jumbo volleyball have transformed this iconic City space into a hub of activity, giving people the chance to discover one of the world’s fastest-growing sports - many for the very first time.

From complete beginners to experienced players, colleagues from local businesses to members of the community, pickleball is proving that sport really can be for everyone.
This is exactly what the London Sports Festival is about: bringing the power of sport into public spaces, creating opportunities for people to be active, connecting communities and helping people discover a sport they might never otherwise have tried, whilst exploring the local area.

London Sports Festival might have just planned the best Friday of your summer. 🏓

On 21 August, Daniel Osben - yes, England's Pickleball World Cup Captain - is heading to Guildhall Yard to coach YOU. Doesn't matter if you've never picked up a racquet or you're already obsessed, Dan's bringing tips, techniques, and a lot of fun to help you play better.

Sessions run every 45 minutes from 11:00am to 2:45pm, so there's plenty of sessions to secure your place.

Central London Alliance’s London Sports Festival was on ITV News London yesterday evening!

An incredible moment yesterday, celebrating the Basketball England 3x3 men’s gold medal players, after their return from the Commonwealth games. A particularly poignant moment hearing about their journey to the games, how they started their careers in basketball, and the fun moments along the way.

Congratulations again to Jamell Anderson, Ashley Hamilton, Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye and Evan Walshe – you have inspired so many people, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.

London Sports Festival 3x3 Basketball activation is delivered by Central London Alliance in partnership with Blue Orchid Hospitality and with support from Cheapside Business Alliance, Book It Please, City of London Corporation and London 3x3.

Tony Matharu chaired a fascinating Indiaspora dinner in London last week alongside Kanishka Narayan MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for AI and Online Safety, and Periasamy Kumaran, Indian High Commissioner to the UK. The UK's AI workforce is projected to grow to nearly 4 million roles by 2035. Nearly half of those roles are forecast to go unfilled by 2028.

The dinner explored what a serious UK-India collaboration on AI looks like - and the role the 35 million-strong global Indian diaspora plays in making it happen.
