The Egyptian Masonic Order UK of the Ancient Primitive Rite of Memphis-Misraim is an international mixed Order of Liberal Esoteric Freemasonry, based in the UK , offering legitimate and traditional Initiation into the Egyptian Rites of Memphis-Misraim - raising our Candidates through the Degrees of Apprentice, Companion (or Fellowcraft), Master Mason and beyond - making ordinary

people into Egyptian Masons. We also offer Affiliation for Master Masons from other Masonic Obediences ("Free Brethren"), should they choose to join us. All Members sign an NDA to protect the private transmissions of the Order and the identity of fellow Members. Take a look at our website at:

We are a new Order, in an ancient Tradition. We are based in the Zenith of London, UK. Once an applicant is accepted for Membership, they must endure the First Degree and become an Apprentice (EA). Study is through Order Handbooks, Lectures and Zoom sessions, but active Lodge work and participation is expected, to equip the Apprentice to become a better Egyptian Mason and a better person. The next Grade is that of Companion, or Fellowcraft (FC), where more inward instruction is given. Then, having earned their 'increase in wages', the Companion is then raised to the Sublime 3rd Degree of Master Mason (MM). Once the 3rd Degree of MM is reached, Members can apply for entrance into any of our other Appendant Bodies active under the Jurisdiction of the Sanctuary, working in both Traditional and Esoteric Rites. Lectures and discussions on Hermeticism, Egyptian traditions, esoteric philosophy, neo-Platonism, Qabalah, Gnosticism, classical occultism, theurgy, alchemy, astrology and metaphysics are actively encouraged. Although the Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis-Mizraim is the main Rite of our Order - in our Symbolic (or Blue Craft) Lodges from Degrees 1 to 3, and in our Sanctuary from the 4th Degree onwards - we also offer Initiation into a variety of other Traditional and Esoteric Rites, with various Inner Order transmissions which are sub rosa, strictly private, and available on invitation to Egyptian Masons attaining the Higher Degrees. Once initiated into the 3rd Degree of MM, EMO UK Master Masons have the option of receiving an EMO UK Charter to run a Triangle, Just Lodge or Regular Lodge in their own local area, depending on the number of Members. We are also committed to Esoteric Healing, the Rites of which many of our Grand Masters perform in closed Lodge on behalf of the public, the environment and the world's issues in general. Our Order has multiple lineages and lines of transmission, both Traditional and Esoteric (Masonic, Chivalric, Hermetic, Rosicrucian, Alchemical and Theurgical) - including lineages from Yarker, Papus (Gerard Encausse), Kloppel, Ambelain, and others. Our focus is strongly esoteric, occult and spiritual; many famous occultists of the past were members or affiliates of Egyptian Masonry. It may justifiably be described as one of the 'invisible traditions' behind western occultism. The Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis-Misraim will therefore be of especial interest to all those making a committed study of mystical, magical, esoteric and occult subjects of all kinds. We have a full Masonic Curriculum, with a Handbook, Lectures and Exercises for every Degree of the Rite. We have private sites for the Order, where our Members receive tutorials and have access to our curated Library and many unpublished articles on Egyptian Masonry and other related subjects. Application is open to all genders, ethnicities, orientations and faiths. We are a highly diverse and multi-national Order; we believe this to be a great strength, especially for the future of our world. All applicants must believe in a Divine Essence or Higher Intelligence; must be over the age of 21; must have no prior criminal convictions; must be of good character and firm commitment; must be politically moderate; must be ethnically, socially and religiously tolerant; must be able to afford the Dues, Fees and Membership expenses of the Order without detriment to themselves, their families or their businesses. Applicants require a Proposer and a Seconder, so must know or become acquainted with at least one current Member of the Order, or with their Interviewers. An up-to-date CRB check may be required. If a Mason from another Obedience, they must be in Good Standing and provide letters to support this. There is an interview process for all Applicants and acceptance cannot be guaranteed. Dear Friends,

Working together in community, regardless of our apparent differences, has never been more important.

At a time when cruelty and bigotry are so visible as to risk being normalised, we remind you that cruelty is NOT normal. Despite certain narratives, it never has been. Cruelty is the corruption of the natural instincts of fight or flight; a weaponisation of the natural instincts to nest, hunt, protect and procreate, taken to horrendous excesses and evil extremes. It is, and always has been, an aberration.

It is also unwise; the human world is aware of itself, collectively, for the very first time in our remembered history. More than this, the truths and experiences of every type of people and individual are accessible at the click of a reel. It is astounding. This wave of knowledge is overwhelming for many of us, but it forces us to learn the key skill of Discernment - between truth and falsehood, between fact and fabrication, between history and hyperbole. In this process of learning Discernment, we all NEED each other, as friends, as supporters, as fact checkers, as witnesses.

Let us remember our common root as Humanity, and aim for the golden and grand horizon that shines beyond the fears, fantasies, foibles and (sadly) fatalities that hinder our mutual Grace.

It is always preferable. It is always possible.

Pacifiers of the Two Lands, with the Eyes of the Lion!
NEKHBET is the Guardian of Upper Egypt, crowned with the Vulture.
WADJET is the Guardian of Lower Egypt, crowned with the Cobra.
The Two Ladies are the tutelary Netjeru of Egypt itself, and are therefore the personifications of the Power of the Sovereignty of Kemet. They are strongly associated with the Goddess SEKHMET and represent the Highest Divine Patronage of the Royal Dynasties. They hold the ultimate authority of conveying the Rulership of Pharoah, and watch over them during their reign. Even when Egypt was unified, and other Netjeru began to merge their cults and conflate their images, the NEBTY remained unchanged and inviolate.
In the EMO UK, the NEBTY are a symbol of the Mysterious and Ferocious Powers which guard the most senior Members of the Grand Concilium, which is itself an esoteric echo of the ancient Kemetic Laws. The Pyramid reaches skywards and inwards towards infinity, and the four-square Foundations are set upon the Invisible Pillars of Ta-Tenen. Nothing may happen or progress well in a genuine Order without Divine Dispensation - the NEBTY are an ancient symbol of this spiritual oversight and invisible support, which we welcome, and for which we are eternally grateful.

Dear Friends,

The Gate of Initiation is open. The Lodge of Egypt is welcoming new Initiates and Affiliates into the Mysteries. There are many True Spiritual Paths, and this is one of them. You can join us whenever you are ready. You can come for your Initiations. You can learn from us. You can work with us.

For many of us, this is not a new experience in this Incarnation, but a Return to the Ways of Spirit, and a resumption of the Great Work, which is to purify and exalt the Spirit and the Inner Nature, and through this exaltation, to illuminate, heal and uplift all others. Your presence adds to the collective joy of the Works; all Parts constitute the Whole.

In the EMO UK, we enjoy the fraternal and sororal community that Egyptian Masonry offers, and the education and inner development the Order provides, combined with the Esoteric Rites and Spiritual Technologies that provide us with the Keys to our Liberation. NEITH is our Fiery Spiritual Protectress, the First Maiden who formed the Lands of Kemet and Kush from the Primordial Waters of NU.
NEITH is the Active Aspect of the Great Mother - ferocious, unpolarised, unconquered, capable of parthenogenesis of both mortal and immortal Beings, as is the Mother Goddess MUT. NEITH is the Mother of RA and the Birther Forth of the Spiritual Sun. Her Eye is as keen as the blade's edge, and She is flooded with the First Wisdom which was before the Gods. NEITH is Divinity as Woman, the Primordial Feminine which is the first of all genders. Dear Friends,

We have just had our first online Probationers Meeting, which went very well.

As soon as a new person passes their Interview and fills in the EMO UK Forms to become a Member, they are automatically made a Probationer of the Order until they complete their first Initiation. Arranging an Initiation for new people can take some time.

We understand that waiting for an Initiation date can be tough, and there is also some preparation which is required beforehand; so the EMO UK now offer Probationers Meetings online, before going for Initiation, so that our brand new joiners can ask key questions, learn more about the nature and structure of the Order, and get to meet the Brethren of the Lodge of Egypt face to face. Our Probationers also have a chance to get to know the people with whom they will be working in the future.

Meetings are once a month.

Dear Friends,

When you begin to explore Freemasonry, you are entering a very ancient and longlived Tradition, of many different Rites and Orders. It is true that Freemasonry evolved from a common set of sources and shares a set of symbols and geometrical allegories, but there can be a great deal of diversity and divergence in others areas of practice, such as ideas about gender, or secularity, on dogmatism, or spirituality, or society.
Freemasonry is a wonderful practice with much to offer and many crucial things to learn, but it is not a monolith, nor a singular dogma. There is something for everyone, and there are types of Freemasonry which suit some people better than others.
The EMO UK is mixed gender, spiritual, esoteric, progressive, liberal, cosmopolitan, humanitarian, and universalist. If these ethical and ideological outlooks match yours, then the EMO UK is a natural choice.

Dear Friends,

A word of caution...

Always take time to consider what you are getting into when joining a group, or following an individual - whether in person, or online - who claims to reveal the Inner Secrets of Magic, or Occultism. We are not suggesting that every content creator or course leader is grifting, or merely exploiting the current trends in Occultism. Many are genuine and committed to spreading the Light to those who may have no other access to the materials or information.

But others are not so ethical, nor as experienced and qualified as they seek to appear. There are those that are out-and-out grifters, which only an expert could spot!

There are those that will publicly "reveal" teachings, practices, or techniques to interested parties. However, some may not be providing the appropriate safeguards or full knowledge, either through ignorance, malice and bad faith, or a lack of due diligence.

Not everything in the Mysteries can be gleaned by study of content alone, and even those who share techniques with the public through courses, or online, cannot replace the years of constant practice and lived experience which are necessary for Mastery of any Occult Discipline; nor can a course replace the authority and function of an Esoteric Order, which is designed to supply ALL the necessities of spiritual technology, safeguarding, tuition, and development.

As Grand Secretary of the EMO UK, I feel it's important for anyone starting out on the Path to be absolutely certain of their first steps. "All that glisters is not Gold."

The unwary Seeker can find themselves in deep waters before they know it, and then have to seek help from Occult "Lifeguards" - those who actually have the proper knowledge and experience, and who follow safe practices. The Senior Members of our Order have been called upon to assist in cases such as these, and some of our new Initiates have come to the EMO UK after having fallen foul of poor practice, finally understanding that traditional stability is necessary, even if authoritarian dogma is not!

We all have freedom of choice, but a well-informed choice leads to positive outcomes.

MUT, or MAUT, is the Great Mother of Kemet, Whose Ancient Name simply means "mother", showing the linguistic continuity of that most sublime word and title. MUT is the first of all Goddesses, and is the Cosmic Archetype of the First Woman, the divinised image of the "Primordial Eve" of Humanity.
Born forth from the Waters of NU, in the form of a Serpent with Eyes of Divine Radiance that illuminate the world, MUT is the Personification of the Regal Power of Kemet itself, bearing the Double Crown of the Two Kingdoms. From the Reign of Hatshepsut, MUT was part of a Theban Primal Trinity with AMUN and KHONSU. The Great Goddess MUT is mother, wife and daughter, and therefore an early Kemetic example of the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone or Elder.

At the EMO UK, we share many attitudes and outlooks in common - one of the most significant is a complete dislike of drama and intrigue. Another is being abjectly tired of egotism, authoritarianism, elitism, bigotry, and dissimulation. We have all seen people in constant low-level competition with each other in the various Orders and Groups, while missing the entire point of the tasks at hand. They strive so hard to outshine others, gain senior approval, or simply give a "powerful impression" that they fail to develop actual Wisdom, Position, or Power. They toxify the atmosphere, derail progress, and undermine the benefit of the collective. Such interactions are extremely draining, especially in the field of esotericism. So, we reject them!
We are all about the WORK, and our purpose is to focus exclusively upon it, in all its various forms in Egyptian Masonry, whilst having FUN: the genuine joy of sharing each other's company. It's simple. It's also proven much more effective.
