Chairman's Award
Peter Shearer, for his assistance and input with the computer work over the last year.

Last Friday we had our presentation dinner at the Blue Bell at North Wingfield. There was a good turn out and the food was most enjoyable. As you see, above are the results for the year and congratulations all the winners. Unfortunately Ron was not at the dinner as he was watching "Chesterfield" being beaten in the second leg, better luck next season.

I hope you all enjoy the summer season which looks good, see you outdoors.

Tuesday 28th April.

Last night we had an A2 print presentation by Ian Pinn. Ian obviously spends a lot of time and energy travelling to places in the British Isles and has done for many years to capture the wonderful photographs he showed us. I have not seen so many striking sun-rises in a presentation before, they were spectacular. Thank you Ian for a most enjoyable evening and I know my fellow members found it equally enthralling, we can’t wait to see you again in the not to distant future.

TUESDAY 17th FEBRUARY.

I did say it would be a good night and it was. Gianpiero excelled with his tour of Samburu in Kenya. The quality of his pictures was exemplary and I don’t think any of us realized there was so many different species of birds in what was quite a barren area of Kenya. To add to the content there were Elephants, various species monkeys and baboons and the odd snake. It was Gianpieros second visit our club and I personally hope he returns in the future.

Next Monday is our open competition 2 judged by Sean Taylor. Good luck to all the members who have entered.

Dear CXPS Members

This message, which might be of interest to some, came in through our website. In short, it offers a day of photographing horses and riders in different costumes and stunts for a cost of £50.00. My only slight concern is that there is no actual date given for the Saturday so, hopefully, it's Saturday 21st, not Saturday 14th.

If anyone does go it would be great to hear about it.
