And finally the scaffolding has gone up!
We now we wait for the works to start. However although successful with a grant from National Lottery Heritage Fund for the ‘secret guttering’ we are still raising funds for the works on the slipped and cracked roof tiles as detailed in the Quinquennial report. Making good use of the scaffolding whilst on site!

Today Christ Church welcomed the children, staff and parents from Moor First School as the children sang songs, shared the Easter Story and led us in prayer. A wonderful service with many a proud parent joining in with the final song ’All things bright and beautiful’.

On Saturday 21st March we launched the Church Restoration & Community Engagement Project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Soon the scaffolding will be arriving and the work on repairing the church roof will begin.
Watch this space for information about the' community engagement' element of the project. Pop up shops, art exhibitions, concerts, talks and much more. Hopefully see you there at one of the events.

A reminder that we run Brunch Club every Thursday from 10.30am-1pm at the Church Hall. All are welcome - come along, join us for refreshments and catch up with friends old and new.

The Churches on the Moor had their first joint service yesterday held at New Road Chapel. Rev Yanyan led the service, Rev Darren spoke and all three churches contributed with prayers and bible readings. Refreshments were served afterwards. As Rev Yanyan said ‘I hope and pray that this is only a start for more and closer partnership among the 3 churches.’

Great news!
Christ Church has been awarded a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
This will be used to carry out urgent repairs to the church and also to fund events for the community and young people.
We will also be exploring how to protect the environment of our church grounds and expand our website so that those further away can be part of what's happening at church.
Info will be posted as the project develops.

Sunday 14th December – Third Sunday in Advent. Christmas Carol Service 4.00pm.

Thursday 18th December – 11.00am Brunch Club Carols.

Sunday 21st December – Fourth Sunday in Advent. Morning Worship 9.00am

Thursday 25 th December – Christmas Day. Holy Communion 10.00am

Sunday 28 th December – No Morning Worship at Christ Church, there is a service at St John's, Knypersley 10.30am.

If you have lost a loved one, and would like to attend the service, you and your family would be most welcome. There will be an opportunity to light a candle, and write the person’s name down that has passed away, they will be mentioned in the service as we pray for you and your family.

🌾A reminder that our Harvest Festival is this Sunday 28th at 9am🌾 All are welcome.

If you are unable to attend the service but would like to donate tinned or dried food the church is open 10am-3pm today (Thursday) and Saturday for donations. All food donated will be given to the local food bank.
