From the moment you find out you're expecting through to the toddler years, NCT's helpline will put you in touch with the right person to support you on your journey. The helpline is staffed by qualified NCT practitioners who are trained and certified at diploma
level with up-to-date knowledge, experience and skills to talk through your questions and concerns. When you call, you'll choose one of four options or you can talk to someone who will point you in the right direction.
• Option 1 - Help feeding your baby: If you have questions, concerns or need support about feeding your baby, you can speak to a breastfeeding counsellor, whether you are exclusively breastfeeding or using formula milk. Breastfeeding counsellors have had extensive training, will listen without judging or criticising and will offer relevant information and suggestions. Open every day, 8am-Midnight, including bank holidays
• Option 2 – Course information: Select this option to get information on our courses, what we offer, what they cost and how to book. If you looking for one of our antenatal or postnatal courses you can also use our online course finder to locate the nearest to you. http://www.nct.org.uk/courses
• Option 3 - Pregnancy, birth and life with a new baby: We know that pregnancy, birth and becoming a parent are times that come with many questions and challenges. If you have had a difficult experience of pregnancy, birth or parenting, you can go through to our Shared Experiences line to speak to someone who has been through similar challenges and really understands. Outside of these times, you can leave a message and someone will call you back.
• Option4 – General enquiries: Here you can speak to someone at NCT about any other queries you may have, such as those regarding local branches and equipment hire, membership, fundraising, and NCT shop. If you don't reach somebody when you call, please leave a message and you will be called back shortly.
