We meet most months for a speaker or stitch event, usually from 2pm on the afternoon of the third Saturday of the month at St George's Church Halls, Bickley, Bromley BR1 2BE

Speakers typically bring a selection

of embroidery and a digital presentation so that we can see their work or collection at close hand. Our library (members only), brilliant sales table - a bit of everything and more besides - and notice board are usually available.

UNmaking: An Exploration of Process and Practice
By the Textile Study Group

Constance Howard Gallery
16 February – 27 March

Museum in the Park
12 September - 8 November

Why UNmaking?
We build our skills through experience, and as a result, our material knowledge and understanding become embodied in the work itself. There is a deep connection here: materiality explored over time through repetitive action builds tacit knowledge — an embodied understanding that textile artists can often take for granted.

UNmaking offers an opportunity to review, reflect, and refine our work, allowing us to pause and interrogate why we create.

We’re looking forward to it too!
