St James' Association - SJA The St James' Association (SJA) is the parent teacher association for St James' School, Emsworth, UK. All parents are automatically members of the SJA.

The St James' Association (SJA) is the parent teacher association for our school. Our aim is to support our school in educating our children. We organise a wide range of events which are aimed to be both fun and to raise money. The money we raise is used to fund projects at the Schools request. Recently we have funded the total refurbishment of the school library, Education City online software for school and home access for all pupils, a table tennis table for the juniors playground and new table tennis club, games for the key stage 1 and the ongoing support of the infants Friday afternoon cooking. You are very welcome to get involved if you wish. We hold an AGM in October and elect a committee for the year. This committee meets twice a term to plan events and approve funding requests. As well as the committee, we always need helpers for specific events. We try to maintain a helpers list of people who are willing to be approached directly to help with an event. If you would like to contact the SJA or join the committee please either put a letter into our letterbox by the school office. We would love to hear from you.

We've been working with the school to create a Christmas Wishlist of items that they need this year, from science equipment like magnets and crocodile leads to glue sticks, pens and pencils. We'd love as many parents, carers and members of our local community to support St James' School by donating an item from the list this Christmas.

Whatever you can give will make a huge difference.

Would you be interested in joining a Sound Bath event on Friday 12th December at St James' School? Our talented Head, Miss Pearce Haydon has recently completed a Sound Bath course and would like to share her new enriching and calming experience with parents and carers, with all proceeds going to the SJA.

Before we commit to the date and arrangements, it would be helpful to know the interest in this experience so we can plan it accordingly....

Let us know in the comments if you'd be keen to attend!
