🌟 A Huge Thank You to Our Amazing Volunteers! 🌟

At Let's Connect, we are incredibly grateful for our wonderful team of volunteers who give their time, energy, and kindness to support our community here in Hasland.

Whether they're helping to organise events, setting up activities, supporting local projects, serving refreshments, welcoming visitors, or simply lending a helping hand wherever it's needed, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Their dedication helps us create opportunities for people to connect, make new friends, learn new skills, and feel part of a supportive community.

Behind every successful event and project is a team of people who genuinely care about making a difference, and we couldn't do it without them. Thank you for your hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment to helping others.

If you've attended one of our events or benefited from one of our projects, we'd love for you to join us in showing our volunteers some appreciation in the comments below. ❤️

The meeting tonight provided more detail about the Three Pits Pride in Place initiative.

An appointed board will oversee how the funding is allocated and which projects receive support. It is therefore important that Tupton has representation on that board so that our community has a voice in the decision-making process.

Alongside the larger projects, a small grants programme is also available for community groups and organisations. Further details can be found at North East Derbyshire District Council’s Small Grants Page https://www.ne-derbyshire.gov.uk/community/three-pits-pride-in-place/small-grants

One of the most valuable aspects of events like these is the opportunity to meet people and make connections. This evening I had the chance to speak with Kirstie from LetsConnect. Despite the name, it is not a dating service! LetsConnect helps community groups connect with grant providers and identify potential sources of funding.

If your organisation is considering applying for grants, I would encourage you to get in touch with Kirstie at [email protected].
