Apologies, this is a long but VERY important post.
📢 An Open Letter to the Person (or People) Who Keep Reporting Us to the RSPCA…
We know someone keeps making reports about Jonestown Woodland Rescue, and today we had another visit from the RSPCA.
This particular report was about Webster, with someone apparently telling them that he had broken his leg and had received no veterinary treatment.
Except… we have been regularly posting updates about Webster’s injury, surgery, recovery and ongoing care right here on our page. His journey has hardly been a secret. 🐾
The RSPCA came, they investigated, they looked around, they spoke to us and they checked the dogs.
And once again, they left with no concerns.
In fact, they even checked over Eve, who is currently pregnant, and after seeing the preparations we have made for her and her upcoming delivery, they told us — and I quote:
«“It looks like you've got all the knowledge and gear for her delivery.”»
They then proceeded to say hello to our gang, who apparently thought having visitors was absolutely brilliant 😂🐶
So the RSPCA left with muddy footprints all over them, plenty of dog kisses, and no concerns about the care being provided here.
We have absolutely nothing to hide.
We welcome legitimate concerns and we will always cooperate with anyone whose job it is to ensure the welfare of the animals in our care. If there is ever a genuine concern, we would much rather someone speak to us directly so we can address it.
But repeatedly making reports based on misinformation, when our dogs' lives and medical journeys are openly documented, is not helping anyone.
It wastes RSPCA resources.
It wastes our time.
And most importantly, it causes unnecessary stress and disruption for the dogs in our care.
These dogs have already been through enough. They deserve a calm, safe environment where they can settle and thrive — not repeated interruptions because somebody has decided to make allegations without knowing the full story.
So, whoever you are:
Please stop.
If you genuinely care about the welfare of these dogs, follow the page. Watch the updates. See what actually happens here.
Because yet again, the people who came to investigate have seen the reality for themselves — and they left satisfied with the care being provided.
Our door is always open to genuine scrutiny. What we won't accept is malicious behaviour that achieves nothing except causing unnecessary distress.

Our dogs can't speak for themselves, so we will always speak up for them. ❤️
