🎂🐾 HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLIE! 🐾🎂

Our handsome golden boy Charlie is celebrating his 1st birthday today! 🥳💛

From the moment he came into our lives, he brought so much love, chaos, cuddles and that classic Golden Retriever “I definitely didn't just eat that” energy. 😂

He's grown into such a gorgeous, loving boy, and we couldn’t be more proud to call him one of ours. 🥹❤️

So today, Charlie, you get ALL the fuss, all the cuddles, and obviously a few extra treats because… birthday rules! 🎁🦴

🎈 He got some lovely gifts in the post from his original owner and as you can see, feels very spoilt 🐶💛

🎃☕ FUNDRAISING COFFEE MORNING & FAMILY HALLOWEEN EVENT! 🐾👻

We’re excited to announce that Jonestown Woodland Rescue will be holding a fundraising coffee morning and family Halloween event! 🎃

📅 Saturday 31st October
⏰ 9am – 12pm
📍 Staveley Community Centre

We’re planning a morning full of Halloween fun, family activities, refreshments, cakes, raffles, tombola and plenty more — all while raising much-needed funds to help us continue rescuing and caring for animals in need. 🐾❤️

But we need YOUR help to make it happen! 🙏

🎟️ RAFFLE & TOMBOLA DONATIONS
We’re looking for businesses or individuals who would be willing to donate prizes, vouchers, gifts or unwanted-but-loved items for our raffle and tombola.

🧁 BAKED GOODS FOR OUR CAKE STALL
And we know this is a big ask… but if anyone is able to bake something for us, we would be incredibly grateful! Cakes, cupcakes, brownies, traybakes, cookies — anything delicious! 🍰🧁🍪

🙋‍♀️ VOLUNTEERS
We’re also looking for some lovely people willing to give us a hand on the day. Whether you can spare the whole morning or just an hour, every pair of hands will make a huge difference.

This is a small, self-funded rescue, and every penny raised at events like this goes straight back into helping the animals in our care — from food and bedding to veterinary bills and helping us take in more animals who desperately need somewhere safe.

Our cheeky little troublemaker has officially reached his first birthday! From his crazy puppy antics to his recent leg surgery, this little man certainly keeps us on our toes 😂❤️ We couldn’t imagine the sanctuary without him.

Our big, beautiful gentle giant is celebrating his 4th birthday! 🥳 Wolfie is our guardian, our cuddle monster and one of the biggest softies you could ever meet. 🐺❤️

🚨 URGENT VOLUNTEER TRANSPORT NEEDED 🚨

We’re looking for a kind-hearted volunteer who can help us with an urgent rescue case over the next few days. 🐾❤️

We need to collect 2 small dogs from Ashbourne and bring them safely back to our sanctuary in Chesterfield.

The amazing news? 🥹 They already have a loving home waiting for them — we just need to get them here first!

📍 Journey: Chesterfield → Ashbourne → Chesterfield
⏰ When: Ideally within the next few days
⛽ Fuel: Fully covered by the sanctuary

🐾 Adorable Duo Looking for Their Forever Home! 🐾

Meet this gorgeous brother-and-sister pair Scruffy and Bella! At just 2 years old, these Staffy x Jack Russell crosses are full of love, life, and loyalty.

Due to their owner sadly having to move into a care home and family members facing heavy work commitments, these two sweet pups are looking for a fresh start together.

What You Need to Know:

Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier x Jack Russell Cross

Age: 2 years old (Brother and Sister)

Training: Already well-trained with great manners!

Temperament: Fantastic around children and wonderfully affectionate.

They are wonderful companions who would make a brilliant addition to an active, loving family. Because they share such a close bond, we are ideally looking to rehome them together so they can stay by each other's sides.

🐾 WEBSTER UPDATE 🐾

Our little Webster is finally home! ❤️

We’re so relieved to say that his surgery went well, and he’s now back where he belongs, getting plenty of love and rest. 🥹

He’s got a long road to recovery ahead of him, though, and he is NOT impressed with the cone of shame 😂 He’s making his feelings about it very clear!

He’s due back at the vets tomorrow morning for a pain management check, so we’ll make sure he’s as comfortable as possible while he begins his recovery.

Thank you to everyone who has checked in, donated, shared our posts and sent Webster so much love. It genuinely means the world to us. ❤️

Now for the hard part… keeping this little lunatic quiet while he heals! 😅🐾

🐾 UPDATE ON WEBSTER 💔🩺
Following on from our initial post, we've had the heartbreaking news from the vet regarding our little Webster.

While we were hoping for the best, the X-rays show a bad fracture in his leg. Because of how severe the break is, he needs a steel plate and screws put in to hold it all back together, and he is booked in for major orthopedic surgery early next week.

As a completely self-funded sanctuary, the reality of specialized veterinary care on this scale is a massive hurdle. Specialist surgery, the metal implants, hospital care, and his ongoing aftercare are coming to an estimated £3,000.

We want to be completely transparent: we have managed to cover the bill to get him the urgent care he needed right away. However, paying that out upfront has completely emptied our reserves. We are now asking if anyone is in a position to help us replenish the pot so our sanctuary isn't left vulnerable for the next emergency that comes through our doors.

Even £1, £5, or £10 makes a huge difference when our community comes together. If you aren't able to donate, sharing this post costs nothing and helps us immensely.
