Finn update!

So far so good ❤️

I have updated the address on Finns wishlist if anyone wants to send something nice to him.

Thank you Ollie Bongo's Pet Essentials for supplying his food.

I will be sending a care package shortly to Finn, his new owner and her house full of rescue dogs to say thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Finn has been given his lifeline: acres, other dogs, and lots of sheep! alongside possibly one of the only other people I've ever met who approaches and manages dogs exactly like I do.

I took him to spend a few hours at his new home recently. We did the necessary introductions with all of the dogs, one by one, until they were all together.

Then, Finn got the opportunity to be in with the sheep. At 5 years old, having never worked a day in his life, what I witnessed was simply magnificent. It really drills home how incredible a dog's genetics and breed purpose are, because Finn behaved as if this had always been his life.

He will be leaving me this week. I always knew that Finn’s only options were me or euthanasia, so knowing he has been given a once-in-a-lifetime, "unicorn" home opportunity is deeply overwhelming.

I can't bring myself to think of Thursday yet because I know I'm going to cry my eyes dry. Those dangerous dogs with extensive bite histories are always the ones that bury themselves deep inside your heart, develop the most pure bond with you, and take a piece of your soul with them when they go.

What a bittersweet end to mine and Finn's story. It has been a true pleasure seeing the dog he has become with me, and I will always be so, so proud.

Be good, Finnigan. ❤️
