Last night we had a fantastic evening hearing from Paul Fielder, City Centre Manager, about all the various things he does in the City including his involvement in the Purple Flag awards. It was an insightful evening, which could have gone on all night if our volunteers had the chance!

These evenings are the perfect chance for our volunteers to hang out and to hear more about our partner organisations who work tirelessly to keep Chester one of the safest places to enjoy a night out.

Christmas came early for our teams on Saturday who spotted their first Christmas trees! Although shocked by the discovery they managed to power on through and both teams had a great night. With the last race of the season rounding up during the first shift it was a busy night with plenty of flip flops and lollipops handed out.

The big question is, who knows where that Christmas tree is?!

It's the final races of the season tomorrow at Chester Race course and we've got two teams heading out! Firstly we've got Anthony leading for an early shift; you can see his team any time from 5:30pm, and then we've got Hilary who will be out from 10pm until around 3am with her team!

If you are heading out make sure you remember to:
- Plan Your Route: Know how you are getting to the venue and, more importantly, how you are getting home.
- Charge Your Phone: Ensure your phone is fully charged and consider carrying a portable charger.
- Share Your Location: Let a trusted friend or family member know where you are going and when you expect to be back.
- Check-in Buddy: Designate someone to check in with during the night.
- Cash: Have enough cash for an unplanned taxi home

Taking time to create a little plan removes stress later on and makes sure you get out and get home safely!
