Two of my very lovely cousins had a baby over the last month so I made them both a baby quilt/play mat. After caring for many babies in my career, I was relieved that everything went smoothly as it can be a stressful time for some families. I had limited time to do the binding so the end result is not perfect but it meant that I managed to deliver them in time for their baby showers. Hopefully I will get to meet them at some point soon despite the physical distance to Cape Town.

This account has been neglected a bit recently as has my craft room. However I met a lovely potter yesterday from Llangollen yesterday at my first Eisteddfod so I might have found a new craft hobby to fill my spare time.

I am in London on weekday evenings for work at the moment so am staying with a lovely family. However I am finding the transition is tough as I am having to adapt to my new working/living environment. I was lamenting the fact they do not have any dishcloths to a random person on the train home yesterday and realised that I should just make one. Voila!! 😂

Two more cross stitch photos completed many years ago that I have not posted yet. One was done by me and one was done by my husband. Who can guess which is which?!

A common phrase used by many of my South African relatives is 'what's the plan?', which is pretty much used in any tricky or challenging situation. By making a plan, these cross stitches arrived in Cape Town tucked in a suitcase in Nov, got framed locally with the help of my arty aunt, and I was able to successfully give them to the recipients in person when I was there in Jan.
